Before you move out of your apartment
you should buy some glow in the dark paint
and spend a few minutes
writing all kinds of secret messages
for the tenants moving in after you.

On the ceiling,
inside the closets,
under the sink,
behind the doors.
Be sure to let them know about the pirate’s treasure,
and the haunted graveyard,
and all the magic wishing powers
that the wizard left in the attic.

Take as much or as little time
as your security deposit will allow you,
but have fun it-
because if you do a good enough job
maybe someday someone else will return the favor.
